I went to Brighton last week, I was down there for the second part of Jo Brown's workshop 'Growth' ( I am going to share more info on this later). I booked myself into a hotel for one night, the Albion. Directly opposite the pier, so I could wake up and be right by the sea. I didn't know at the time that I would have a room in the basement with no window!! It made me get up early and get outside.
When I checked out at reception, I looked over to the beach, and it was really foggy and so moody.I went shooting along the beach that day, took Polaroids of the pier and visited all the places that were recommended to me. I got up close with seagulls, visited the Pavilion and ate the best sandwich of my life at Hell's Kitchen (smoked salmon, crayfish, rocket, thousand island sauce, seeded baguette, tomato and cucumber!)
I visited a vintage Shop called Snoopers Attic and bought a navy 70's Pussy bow dress and wore it the very next day. They had really unique vintage clothes and re-worked things that were amazing.
I've decided to show you some of my digital photos as I always favour my film.
Brighton is such a cool, quirky and edgy place with a beach.
