A bride I shot last year wore a Francis bridal dress and this brand stuck out in my mind. I put a call out on Instagram to see if any suppliers wanted to work with me and the lovely Trish from Francis Bridal said she would send me the Aroha dress. I love love love her brand and her dresses are boho, modern and perfect for natural romantics. I chose the theme to be inspired by Renaissance paintings and chose to do an indoor shoot in NQ Studio in Manchester.
I shot a mixture of film and digital with an aim to try to mix up my digital more and experiment. I purchased the flowers from a local grower called Rachel from The Yorkshire Flower Patch and arranged them into a wild style bouquet like the dutch flower paintings I was inspired by. Tulips, Ranunculus, Peonies (purchased from M & S ) and so much lovely foliage. Louise @Rebeccalouisemakeup_ did Alicia the models make up quite natural with a stained pink lip. I wanted to make sure we could see Alicia's natural beauty, she has so many freckles. We left Alicia's hair quite natural with a simple wave through it. I wanted to show you can be natural and creative without being too over the top. Plus I really wanted to push my own creativity with the camera on what I could do experimentally with digital. That's enough words, please see the photos below.
